Method 42

1,6-Hexamethylene Diisocyanate (HDI), Toluene-2,6-Diisocyante (2,6-TDI), Toluene-2,4-Diisocyanate (2,4-TDI)

This method is for the collection and analysis of 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), 2,6-toluene diisocyante (2,6-TDI), and 2,4-toluene diisocyanate (2,4-TDI).  The sample is collected on 1-(2-pyridyl)piperazine (1-2PP) coated glass fiber filters.  After collection, the samples are extracted with 90/10 (v/v) acetonitrile/dimethyl sulfoxide (ACN/DMSO) and analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography using an ultraviolet or fluorescence detector (HPLC/UV).
