Method 59

Methylene chloride by GC/FID

This method describes the sample collection and analysis of methylene chloride. Samples are collected by drawing a known volume of air through specially prepared sampling tubes that contain three 350-mg sections of coconut shell charcoal. Analysis of the samples is by GC/FID following desorption of the individual charcoal sections with carbon disulfide.
