Method 630

The Determination of Dithiocarbamate Pesticides in Municipal and Industrial Wastewater

This method is for the determination of dithiocarbamate pesticides from water and wastewater. The sample is digested with acid and carbon disulfide is evolved from hydrolysis of the dithiocarbamate. The evolved carbon disulfide is measured by a UV-visible spectrophotometer.

The method does not distinguish between the individual dithiocarbamates and are reported as a total.

Do not pre-rinse the sample collection bottle with sample prior to collection.

* The analytes and detection limits listed for each method represent the typical detection limits and analytes reported for that particular method. Keep in mind that analyte lists may vary from laboratory to laboratory. Detection limits may also vary from lab to lab and are dependent upon the sample size, matrix, and any interferences that may be present in the sample.
