Method 5037

Triorthocresyl phosphate

This method is for the determination of triorthocresyl phosphate. The sample is collected on mixed cellulose ester membrane filters, extracted in 10mL diethyl ether, followed by GC analysis with a phosphorous flame photometric detector. The working range of this method is 0.002 to 2 mg/m³ for a 100-L air sample. This method may be adapted to other phosphates of relatively low volatility with appropriate changes in chromatographic conditions. Note: This revises Method S209.
