Method 5039

Chlorinated camphene (Toxaphene) by GC/ECD

This method is for the determination of chlorinated camphene (toxaphene). The sample is collected on cellulose ester membrane filters, desorped in 10mL petroleum ether, and analyzed by GC with a 63Ni electron capture detection system. The working range is 0.05 to 1.5 mg/m³ for a 15-L air sample. Note: This is Method S67 in a revised format.
