This method is for the collection and analysis of 1,1,1-trichloroethane. The sample is collected on charcoal adsorbent, desorbed with carbon disulfide, and analyzed by GC/FID.

Holding Time:   The recovery of the analyte from the collection medium after storage must be 75% or greater. Recoveries of greater than 100% were obtained from samples stored for up to 15 days at both ambient (18.2 - 21°C) and refrigerated (-4 - 3°C) temperatures.
