Method 53

2-Methoxyethanol (2ME), 2-Methoxyethanol Acetate (2MEA), 2-Ethoxyethanol (2EE), and 2-Ethoxyethanol Acetate (2EEA) by GC/FID

This method is for the collection and analysis of 2-Methoxyethanol (2ME), 2-Methoxyethanol Acetate (2MEA), 2-Ethoxyethanol (2EE), and 2-Ethoxyethanol Acetate (2EEA). Samples are collected by drawing known volumes of air through charcoal tubes. Samples are desorbed with 95/5 (v/v) methylene chloride/ methanol and analyzed by gas chromatography using a flame ionization detector.
