Method 993.13

Total Nitrogen in Fertilizers

This method is for the determination of total nitrogen in fertilizer.   The nitrogen is released from the sample through combution at high temperature under high-purity oxygen.  Nitrogen is measured by thermal conductivity detection and reported as weigh/weight percent nitrogen in the sample.  The range of the method is 1-67% total nitrogen content.
