Method 2537

Methyl and Ethyl Methacrylate

This method is for the collection and analysis of ethyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate.  The sample is collected on an XAD-2 tube.  After collection, the sample is desorbed with 2mL of carbon disulfide and analyzed by GC/FID (flame ionization detector).

The working range of the method is 2.4 to 270 ppm (10 to 1100 mg/m³) for a 3-L air sample.

NOTE: This method updates NMAM 2537, Issue 2 (4th ed.) which previously revised NIOSH Method S43.
