Method 3511

Monomethylaniline

This method is for the collection and analysis for monmethylaniline from workplace air.  The sample is collected using a midget impinger train.  The impingers are filled with 10mLs of 0.05 M sulfuric acid.  After collection an aliquot of the impinger solution is neutralized with 4M NaOH and analyzed by GC/FID (flame ionization detector).

The working range of the method is 0.2 to 7 ppm (1 to 30 mg/m3) for a 100L air sample.

NOTE:  This method revised Method S153.
