Method 5040

Diesel Particulate Matter (as Elemental Carbon)

This method is for the collection and analysis of diesel particulate matter from workplace air.  The sample is collected on a quartz fiber filter.  After collection, the filter is analyzed by thermal-optical analysis using a flame ionization detector.

The working range of the method is  6 to 630 ug/m3.
