Method ID-207

Portland Cement (Total Dust) in Workplace Atmospheres

This method is for the collection and analysis of Portland cement (total dust) from workplace air.  The sample is collected on a tared 37mm PVC filter.  After collection, the total particulates are determined by gravimetric analysis.  Then the particulate is dissolved in THF (tetrhydrofuran) and redeposited on a sliver (AG) membrane filter and analyzed by XRF (x-ray fluorescence) as a confirmation.
